Welcome to my part of the World
I’m a Southern gal living in Alaska. My love of writing has served me well with the long, cold winters here. You will find a little piece of my heart on each page of my website. In my short stories, I love making you laugh. In devotions, I like sharing life experiences to make you think. I also give away my secret recipes because I know my husband will if I don’t.
Southern stories seasoned with faith and sweetened with humor.
Every experience God gives us, every Person He puts in our lives is the Perfect preparation for a future that only He can see.

About Shelly
Shelly traded in her treasured collection of high heels for snow boots when she moved to the far north, where temperatures can plummet to sixty below. When Shelly moved to Alaska, she started a book club in her small town. A writer’s group formed from the bookclub and three of the authors are now published. Shelly writes southern fiction sprinkled with humor. Secrets Kept is Shelly’s first novel. She took writing classes with The Writer’s Guild for several years and then spent over a year working with writing coach Sandra Byrd. Reading and writing are her passions.
